I am a qualified person-centred counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (member number 377301). Before re-training as a counsellor I worked in various paid and voluntary roles including:
My approach is pluralistic, meaning as a counsellor and client, we will work collaboratively and our sessions are tailored to your specific needs or issues.
I will give you a space free of judgement or expectations, where you can work through and process any difficulties you are facing. My primary focus is to gain an understanding about how you are experiencing life. This may include any problems or challenges you face, or anything else which may come up during our sessions. Our relationship and our therapy will be collaborative.
As well as my counselling work, I offer 'Nature Connection Sessions' and other workshops. I have appeared in print and on radio discussing the benefits of working outdoors and work with third sector organisations in a consultancy role.
I offer my counselling sessions indoors or outdoors as well as telephone and online counselling and I am based in the Southside of Glasgow.
I look forward to hearing from you,
"Sean was really welcoming, inclusive and supportive. I felt comfortable enough to open up pretty quickly. All the issues I was having we tackled them together throughout our sessions, which felt like friendly chats. It felt much more relaxed than previous sessions I had experienced with other counsellors, there was no judgement from Sean. I felt like I had much more ownership of my self-discovery as he helped guide me there through natural and genuine interest in my life and my struggles. I have never before felt so heard and understood. I will, and have, been recommending Sean to anyone I meet who is struggling with any part of their lives!" - PC, counselling client who had 10 sessions over 3 months
